On June 3rd, one of the IGA’s directors, Shelia Downer, visited the Battle Harbour Assisted Living Corporation to present them with a cheque for the grant awarded to them this year by the IGA.

The grant they received will be used for a project entitled “Comfortable Coworkers”. The funds will be used to renovate a mobile home for employees to rent near the Habourview Manor, so the organization can continue to employ people outside the community. Without the ability to do this, the Manor could not continue to operate as they rely on employees from outside the community to function.

The IGA is proud to support this organization in their efforts to improve their employees living conditions.
