Hayley is a Bachelor of Nursing student at the MUN School of Nursing in St. John’s, originally from Green Island Brook. After completing her Bachelor of Nursing degree, Hayley wants to do an additional two years of grad school to receive her master’s degree and become a nurse practitioner.

Hayley has been heavily involved with sports throughout her life. She has won several sports awards including most sportsmanlike and all-star athlete in volleyball; she also captained her volleyball team and coached skating for four years. Hayley was also a part of her school’s drama club for five years, where she won several awards.

Volunteering is quite important to Hayley. She volunteered with various sporting events (scorekeeping, coaching, refereeing, etc.), after school programs, was a Girl Guide and Boy Scout leader for a year, and is involved with the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Hayley currently plays with (and is the co-captain of) a city league volleyball team, where she has helped with recruiting and coaching. She says her ultimate goal after finishing school is to be a neonatal nurse at the Janeway.
