Jasmin is a 2013 graduate from Viking Trail Academy. She is working towards a Bachelor of Arts degree, and is completing a major in French and minor in English. Originally from Plum Point, she is now attending MUN in St. John’s.

In high school, Jasmin participated in many school sports. She was named female athlete of the year for several years, and won gold medals with the Western Track and Field Team at the Newfoundland Summer Games. Jasmine was also a member of the provincial cross-country ski team. More recently, Jasmin has participated in the St. John’s women’s volleyball and basketball leagues.

Jasmin has lots of volunteer experience under her belt. She has helped coach school sports, was a Brownies leader, and was a ski instructor. She also joined Youth Ventures in 2012, starting “Jasmine’s Fancy Fingernails”. Her business won an award for excellence in artistic design in 2012, and was named venture of the year in 2014.

After completing her Bachelor of Arts degree, Jasmin hopes to complete a Bachelor of Education to ultimately become a teacher. She says she enjoys working with others and wants to make a difference in a child’s life as a teacher.
