Kali is a graduate of Labrador Straits Academy and is from Forteau. She is currently attending Memorial University in Corner Brook, where she is enrolled in the Bachelor of Nursing program.

Throughout high school, Kali was involved with several volunteer groups. She was sergeant of her Junior Canada Rangers Corp. group and a band leader for a special needs inclusion band. Kali describes these as very rewarding activities.

After graduating from the nursing program, Kali wants to get acute care experience in a busy emergency room or ICU. She says she’s been known as the “calm headed caretaker” in her social group, and attributes her love of helping others to why she chose nursing. Kali aims to work in a northern remote area to experience nursing in a different way. Eventually, she wants to become an anesthesiology nurse.
