Tiara Hillier, who was born and raised in St. Anthony, is a Bachelor of Nursing student at Western Regional School of Nursing in Corner Brook. Tiara graduated from White Hills Academy in 2015.

As a recipient of her high school’s volunteer award, Tiara has been involved in many volunteer efforts. She was a member of the White Hills Academy Student Council for four years, holding three different positions (class representative, treasurer, and president), and attended three student leadership conferences. She also volunteered with Northern Drifters Snowmobile Club as a youth representative and secretary, and volunteered with the St. Anthony Winterfest Committee for two years as a youth representative.

Tiara has national lifeguard certification and has worked as a lifeguard at her local pool. She is also first aid certified and attended MUN’s MedQuest program in 2014. In addition, Tiara enjoys sports such as ball hockey, swimming, and cross country.

Tiara’s goal is to graduate with a Bachelor of Nursing and go on to complete the NCLEX exam. The NCLEX (National Council Licensure Examination) is an exam used to license nurses; after completing this, Tiara wants to work as a registered nurse (in medical-surgical nursing) with Labrador Grenfell Health.
